Black Widow Productions has in the past four AVN Award nominations, including "Best Foreign Feature" (Sins of the Flesh), "Best Amateur Release" (Jose Pusher's Pimping Adventures), "Best Specialty Release - BDSM" (Fetish Desire 2), and "Best Specialty Release - Other" for the John Thompson Productions film Cissie's Cum Show.[3]
John Thompson's series German Goo Girls is distributed in the United States by Black Widow, who had to move to a larger warehouse to cope with demand for the series.[4]
