"Blood Son" is a short film by Michael McGruther. It is the first production of BuffaloNickel Films. It is based on the short story "Drink My Red Blood" that was written by Richard Matheson. It was first published in 1951 and was also adapted into an episode of the British Radio Drama Book at Bedtime, where it was read by David Tennant. The story focuses on a teenage boy who becomes obsessed with vampirism. As his obsession deepens, he is increasingly ostracized by the community, not because they fear the supernatural, but because they think he is insane. However, at the end of the novel, it is revealed that Count Dracula is willing to accept him into his ways. Dracula softly states, "My son."
