Boku no Natsuyasumi (ぼくのなつやすみ?, lit. "My Summer Vacation") is a video game developed by Millennium Kitchen and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation. It is part of the popular Boku no Natsuyasumi series and was released in Japan on June 22, 2000. A PlayStation Portable port was released on June 27, 2006. The port features updated graphics and several new characters.
Description
The game revolves around Boku, a 9 year old boy sent to his aunt and uncle in Japan's wooded countryside and the daily adventures he encounters there. Boku is there because his Mother is in her final month of pregnancy. The player controls him for the 31 days of August 1975 (In Japan, a Summer Vacation, called natsuyasumi (なつやすみ) last for one month). You explore the game's area and can catch bugs and pit them against each other, collect bottle caps, fly a kite, or just relax.

- Yusaku Sorano (40 years old)
- Boku's uncle and owner of a ceramic studio. He used to live in the city.
- Kaoru Sorano (41 years old)

- Moe (15 years old)
- Boku's cousin and daughter of Yusaku and Kaoru. She always dresses in overalls and patterned pink dresses. She cares for Boku very much, treating him like a younger brother. Moe seems depressed about having to commute to the city to attend high school next spring.
- Shirabe (8 years old)
- Boku's younger cousin. Shirabe and Boku are rivals, but they can tell each other anything.
- Guts
- The "leader" of the three boys that hang out in the secret base under the expressway. As a fifth grader, Guts looks intimidating, but he always has some good advice for Boku.
- Fat
- A pudgy young boy with an odd hairstyle. One of the three boys of the secret base. He's in the fourth grade.
- Megane
- A nerdy, high-pitched second-grader who is Shirabe's classmate. Megane is just as into insect collecting as Boku is. He mans the beetle sumo ring alongside Guts and Fat.
- Saori
- A university student who has come to the countryside to photograph a mysterious ghost wolf. Boku has a crush on her.
- Yoshiko (15 years old)
- Moe's friend. She is less of a tomboy than Moe, and wants to assert her dominance to Boku. She only appears in the PlayStation Portable version.
- Aniki (13 years old)
- A teenage boy who hides his face under a baseball cap. He is quiet and inactive, and he prefers sitting around and observing to socializing. He only appears in the PlayStation Portable version.
- Kyotou (55 years old)
- The assistant headmaster of Moe's school. He is doing "field work" during the game, and he will answer any questions Boku has about nature. He only appears in the PlayStation Portable version; however, he was mentioned in the original version.
