Bomb pulse

The bomb pulse is the history of elevated Carbon-14 in the Earth's atmosphere due to the detonation of atomic bombs starting in the 1950s. As discussed in the Radiolab episode, Elements,[1] the phenomenon has permitted scientists to determine the age of individual cells in organisms.[2]
