Brimstone & Treacle is the soundtrack for the 1982 film adaptation of the play Brimstone and Treacle. The film stars Sting in a leading role, and he wrote or co-wrote most of the songs on the album. His cover of "Spread a Little Happiness" reached number 16 in the UK charts.[1] The title track was also awarded the 1984 Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.
