Brooklands Metrolink station is a tram stop on the Altrincham Line of Greater Manchester's light-rail Metrolink system. It is located in the Brooklands area of Sale, in North West England. It opened on 15 June 1992 as part of Phase 1 of Metrolink's expansion.

The station originally opened on 1 December 1859 by the Manchester, South Junction and Altrincham Railway (MSJAR). Built following approach from Samuel Brooks, a Manchester banker, who built a large speculative estate of large houses along Brooklands Road. Closed as a British Rail station on 24 December 1991. Reopened as a Metrolink station on 15 June 1992.
Brooklands Station is a Grade II listed building.
Services
Brooklands is located on the Altrincham Line with trams towards Altrincham stopping every 6 minutes during the day, Mondays to Saturdays, every 12 minutes Monday to Saturday evenings and Sunday evenings and every 15 minutes Sunday daytime. Trams also head towards Manchester and Bury, with the Monday to Saturday daytime service running every 12 minutes each to Manchester Piccadilly or Bury, while evening and Sundays journeys run to Piccadilly only with journeys to Bury requiring a change of trams at Piccadilly Gardens.[1]
Service pattern
- 10 trams per hour to Altrincham
- 5 trams per hour to Piccadilly
- 5 trams per hour to Deansgate-Castlefield (Daytimes only)
The normal pattern is 5tph to Piccadilly and 5tph to Bury, however, due to the Metrolink currently running single line through St Peters Square, the services have changed and some will terminate at Deansgate-Castlefield.
Connecting bus routes
Brooklands station is served by Finglands/Stagecoach Manchester service 99, which runs to Sale via Sale Moor and to Manchester via Northenden, Go Goodwins service 266, which runs to Sale and to Altrincham via Timperley and by Go Goodwins service 268, which runs between Wythenshawe and Urmston via Sale and Stretford.[2]
