C. Allen Parker is Presiding Partner of Cravath, Swaine & Moore.
Early life and career
Allen Parker was born in Jacksonville, Florida.[2] He received a Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Duke University in 1977 and a Master of Arts from the University of Chicago in 1980. He then earned a Juris Doctorate magna cum laude from Columbia Law School in 1983, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Notes and Comments Editor of the Law Review.[3] After graduating, Parker served in a clerkship with Amalya Lyle Kearse of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Parker joined Cravath in 1984 and became a partner in 1990. He was elected Deputy Presiding Partner in October 2006. In January 2013, he became the firm's fifteenth Presiding Partner.[3][4]
