California's 39th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of California. The district is currently represented by Republican Ed Royce, and includes parts of Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino counties, and includes Fullerton, Brea, Buena Park, Anaheim Hills, Placentia, Yorba Linda, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, Hacienda Heights and Rowland Heights

History

The 39th Congressional District was originally one of five reapportioned to California after the 1970 U.S. Census.

The previous 39th Congressional District was a Republican stronghold, territory now mostly redesignated into the neighboring 40th Congressional District and 42nd Congressional District. Royce's predecessor, Linda Sánchez, now represents the 38th Congressional District.
