Carignano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of Turin. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 8,777 and an area of 50.2 square kilometres (19.4 sq mi).[1]

Geography

Carignano borders the following municipalities: Moncalieri, Vinovo, La Loggia, Piobesi Torinese, Villastellone, Castagnole Piemonte, Osasio, Lombriasco and Carmagnola.
