This category is for people who were mayors of the now-defunct City of Brooklyn, which is now a part of the City of New York.

The office of Mayor of Brooklyn ceased to exist upon the consolidation of Brooklyn and New York in 1898.

Seth Low, Mayor of the City of Brooklyn from 1882 to 1885 and later President of Columbia University, was elected Mayor of Greater New York in 1901 (after consolidation), although he had lost the first election for this post in 1897.
