From Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core
A mixed-power aircraft is an aircraft which is powered by one or more jet engines, plus one or more piston, turboprop or rocket engines.
This category contained aircraft either with auxiliary rocket power, or with a jet engine that was used 'equally' with its piston engines. For aircraft which utilised a jet engine strictly as a booster to piston power, see Category:Aircraft with auxiliary jet engines
