Raves are events where dance music is played by DJs and occasionally live performers. The genres of electronic dance music that have been prevailent in the United Kingdom since the late 1980s have been played at raves. These include House, Acid House, Trance, Techno, Breakbeat Hardcore, Drum and Bass, Happy Hardcore, Dubstep and Grime.
