HBCo supply vessel Ft. Hearne. Launched in Shelburne NS 1949. Sailed through Panama Canal, around Alaska to her home port Tuktoyaktuk NWT. Used to supply HBCo and other establishement in the Western Arctic. Length 149 ft. Breadth 30 ft. Depth 16.6 ft. Registered tonnage 387. Holed in heavy ice July 18 1961 and towed into Bernard Harbour by CCG Camsell. Abandoned there
