This is typically a casual game genre. It is considered that the main audience of the genre is adult women. This genre is considered a subgenre of Strategy video games, although it has its distinctive features, and lacks some of typical strategy game features, and also it appeals to a different audience. This genre has gained a significant following in the late 2000s.
