Chen Tang (Chinese: 陈汤; Wade-Giles:Ch'en T'ang), born in Jining, Shandong, was famous for his battle against Zhizhi in 36 BC,[1] and a quote 夫胡兵五而当汉兵一 "a single soldier of Han is equivalent to five Northern barbarian soldiers".

Another famous quote "明犯强汉者,虽远必诛" from Chen Tang: "No matter how far away, who dares to offend mighty Han will be put to death".
