Children in Crisis

Children in Crisis is a non-profit organization aimed at improving the lives of children and women from underprivileged backgrounds in third-world countries.[1] It is headquartered in London, England.

Patronage

It was founded by Sarah, Duchess of York, who remains life president.[2] Her daughter, Princess Beatrice of York, has served as Ambassador of Children in Crisis since 2007.[2] Alongside Beatrice, her second daughter, Princess Eugenie of York, attended the fundraising annual dinner in March 2011.[2]

The vice-presidents are: Paul Szkiler, Grahame Harding, Olivier de Givenchy and Mark Olbrich.[2]

Overview

In 2005, it worked with other partners in Afghanistan to provide education for children who had been unable to attend school.[3] It also helped HIV/AIDS education in Sierra Leone.[4] and with schools in East Timor.[5]
