Chris Adams (born 12 August 1986) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer for Lakes United of the Newcastle Rugby League. He previously played for the Newcastle Knights in the National Rugby League. He primarily plays hooker.

Background

Born in Nambour, Queensland, Adams played his junior football for the Bellingen Magpies before moving down to play for the Wyong Roos in the Newcastle Rugby League in 2005.

Playing career

In 2006, Adams played for the North Sydney Bears' Jersey Flegg Cup team before moving back to play for the Wyong Roos in 2007 and 2008.

In 2009, Adams signed with the Cessnock Goannas, during that year, Adams was spotted by 2009 Newcastle Knights coach Brian Smith and then pursued by 2010 Knights coach Rick Stone.[2] He signed a contract with the Newcastle Knights starting in 2010.

In Round 10 of the 2012 NRL season, Adams made his NRL debut for the Knights against the North Queensland Cowboys. He went on to play two more games that season.

After the 2013 NRL season, Adams signed back with the Cessnock Goannas.

In 2014, Adams was named hooker and captain of the Newcastle Rugby League representative team, the Newcastle Rebels.[3]

In 2015, Adams joined Lakes United.[4]
