Clifton Powell (born March 16, 1956) is an American actor and comedian.

Career

Powell is best known for playing the role of Pinky in the 2000 comedy film, Next Friday, and its 2002 sequel, Friday After Next. As well as the 1993 film Menace II Society (1993), 1995's Dead Presidents, 2004's Ray, and 2009's Just Another Day. He also appeared as drug dealer Andre Thompson, a recurring character on the TV series Roc that ran from 1991 to 1994.

Powell was born in Washington, D.C.

Sexual assault civil charges

In 2013 a judgment was entered against Powell for sexual assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress for $153,095.50.[2][3] According to plaintiff's attorney, several attempts to collect the debt from the actor in Louisiana had been unsuccessful, so the judgment was recorded in California to garnish the actor's wages.[4]
