Sullivan's commandos are to hold this camp and its weaponry until an American battalion arrives, all the while these Italian-Americans pretend to be Italian soldiers, often hosting the enemy. Cpt. Valli is a young, by-the-book officer who constantly argues with Sgt. Sullivan, who tells his superior that he has no idea what he is doing. One man on the base is an entomologist who is killed and then things get terrible.
After a chase from the escaped Italian prisoners, Dino (Romano Puppo) dies after being shot in Sullivan's arms, and the mission soon under order Abandon Torch begins, and they all must withdrawal to the cost of port, however most of the men want to quit the mission but Captain Valli rejects this order, unfortunately Sullivan suffers from his past issue in the Pacific when he encountered the Japanese, and he blames that six of his men died due to Valli's orders, and as such Sullivan tells to the men that Valli will get everyone killed, before Sullivan can kill Valli a German patrol soon emerges, but trouble emerges when Italian Lieutenant Tommassini (Marino Mase) reports to Heitzel Agen that the Italian's are Italian-American Commandos, a Tank Division soon heads off to stop them, however after drinking a toast, however as Sergeant Sullivan refuses to drink a huge gunfight emerges, where it costs the lives of all German and Italian-American Commandos (with the exception of Aldo (Giampiero Albertini) and one German soldier agrees to surrender in the end,) however the dead are concurrently buried afterwards, and the two together work the otherside together side by side,
