The crested jay (Platylophus galericulatus) is a species of bird traditionally placed in the family Corvidae but might belong to the Helmetshrikes. It is monotypic within the genus Platylophus.[2] It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
