Cyclops Gear, LLC[1] was developed with the purpose of enriching people’s lives by allowing them to record life and to share those experiences with others. Its customer base is diverse and it does not matter whether they are a professional athlete or a parent recording their child – Cyclops Gear provides easy to use eyewear & devices to capture these precious moments in different settings. Cyclops Gear is in the business of changing people’s lives for the better and to make sure they never miss capturing a precious moment again.

History

Cyclops Gear was founded back in January 2013, with the inspiration for the company being the realization that there was a need to provide an affordable line of superior quality sports goggles and glasses with integrated video, audio, and picture capturing technology. Recently Cyclops Gear has merged into the 4K action camera market with the new CGX2 action camera, the second such model in the CGX lineup of Cyclops wearable POV cams with WiFi technology.[2]

Founder and CEO Mark Krause[3] and Chairman Alain Lord Mounir[4] realized that the hands free video market was and still is exploding when they started Cyclops Gear in 2013. What makes Cyclops Gear different and special is that its entire line of products will all eventually be integrated with 360, 4K, high definition video, camera, audio and Wi-Fi technology. The trademarked name, Cyclops Gear, tells consumers exactly who the company is and what they do. With Cyclops Gear focusing on a niche market, it will have an edge and immediate entrance into the multibillion-dollar wearable technology market with a focus on sunglasses, snow, motorsport and scuba goggles.

Partnership with BRP

In 2015, Cyclops Gear announced a partnership with Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP). BRP is a global leader in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution and marketing of powersports vehicles and propulsion systems. Their portfolio includes Ski-doo and Lynx snowmobiles, Seadoo watercrafts, and Can-Am all-terrain and side-by-side vehicles. This partnership will allow Cyclops Gear to be in more than 4200 stores worldwide. According to both Krause and Mounir, powersports enthusiasts are always keen to capture their adrenaline-filled moments on camera so it was only natural to form an alliance with an established and powerful company as BRP[5]
