DPS International School Pte Ltd is an Indian international school located in Singapore. It is affiliated with the Delhi Public School Society and ICSE/ISC curriculum. It recently became affiliated by IGCSE Curriculum as well. The Delhi Public School Society came into being as a non-profit making body. It established its first school in 1949 at Mathura Road, New Delhi. In pursuance of its motto 'Service Before Self', and its commitment to an integrated educational system, the society has grown into a family of 158 schools worldwide.

History

The Delhi Public School Society has more than 800,000 students on its rolls across the globe, with 60,000 teachers. Its alumni include Chief Economist of the IMF (International Monetary Fund) – Dr. Raghuram Rajan, Cabinet Secretaries and Chief Secretaries of the Indian Government, Members of Parliament, Chief Justice of India, Comptroller and Auditor General of India, as well as artists and film actors.

DPS International School Pte Ltd was opened on April 2004. On a visit to India, Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister of Education and Second Minister for Finance, visited DPS Schools in India and this has resulted in the decision to conduct exchange programme with Singaporean schools such as Raffles Institution, Bukit Panjang Government High School, etc.[citation needed] Ms. Ho Peng, Director of Curriculum Planning and Development Division at the Ministry of Education, visited DPS International School Pte Ltd and endorsed our endeavor as she remarked, "I can see how the school is providing holistic education for its pupils. There is a strong pervasive ethos of care in the school, with the parents playing an active supportive role."

Results

The school sent its students for ICSE Board examinations during the years 2006 and 2007 and achieved 100% pass percentage. All the students gained distinctions with 70% students getting above 55% marks.
