Dan Bourchier is an Australian journalist currently serving as a political reporter and the National Indigenous Affairs Correspondent for Sky News Australia.[1]

Bourchier joined Sky News in 2012, as a Darwin reporter and later becoming the network's Northern Territory bureau chief. In late 2015, Bourchier was appointed as a political reporter based in Canberra, replacing outgoing reporter David Lipson, while retaining his Indigenous Affairs Correspondent role.[2] Bourchier has previously worked for NITV as well as the NT News newspaper.[3]

Bourchier was awarded the 'scoop of the year' award at the NT Media Awards for his coverage of the NT leadership spill in 2013.[2]

Bourchier was an MC at the Outgames, held in Darwin in 2014.[4] He is an ambassador for children's charity Variety.[5]

Bourchier was raised in the Northern Territory town of Tennant Creek and has Indigenous Australian ancestry.[6] Bourchier is openly gay and in a relationship with Department of Health officer Karl Lijnders.[7]
