Dionne Hughes (born 7 June 1989), also known as Miss London and London Hughes, is an English comedian, television writer and presenter.[1] She also wrote and starred in Laughter Shock, a comedy for the BBC which piloted in 2010.[2]

Early life
London Hughes was born in Thornton Heath, Croydon, Surrey, England. When she was younger, Hughes spent most of her spare time working on new routines with dance crew. Her family moved to Brighton when she was aged 12.
The South London teenager began writing plays for talent shows at her college. She moved back to London to study television, media and cultural studies at Kingston University.
Career
London Hughes is an award winning stand-up comic, writer, actress and presenter. Since winning the prestigious Funny Women Awards in 2009, she's gone on to pen and star in TV and radio and become one of the many loved faces of children's television.
London stars in new comedy movie, It's A Lot written and directed by Femi Oyeniran (Kidulthood and Adulthood) for Nationwide release in October 2013. This is London’s first movie role whereby she improvised a lot of the comedy material for her scenes and choreographed the numerous dance routines used throughout the film.
London made her BBC Radio 4 debut in August 2013 by writing and starring in her own sitcom pilot named 28 Dates Later. Loosely based on her life, the sitcom is about two girls that work in a cinema with a love of romantic comedies, but can’t seem to make their own love lives match up to the ones in the movies.
London started her television career presenting the morning show for CBBC for almost 2 years, in that time she also presented live links on BBC One and BBC Two and made regular appearances on Blue Peter and snagged a presenter role in popular children’s show, All over the Place alongside Ed Petrie as well as voicing characters for CBBC's comedy, Big Babies.
London has gone on to perform in programs such as sketch show For The Win on BBC Three (of which she wrote a couple of sketches), BBC Two sitcom The Stephen K Amos Show and Comedy Entertainment show Life: An Idiots Guide for BBC Radio 4.
London continues to perform stand-up all over the country and is developing her hour show for the 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Hughes made her first appearance on the CBBC Channel in July 2010. Hughes and Chloe Bale were drafted in to present the 2010 Summer Holiday weekends as part of "Ultimate Summer". Hughes departed CBBC in September 2011.
Since 2014, she has co-presented Scrambled! on CITV.
