Dmitrijs Miļkevičs

Dmitrijs Miļkevičs (born December 6, 1981 in Riga) is a Latvian athlete competing in 400 m and 800 m.

Biography

Miļkevičs ran a career-best 46.44 in the 400 meters at the 2003 European U-23 Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland. He has won one NCAA championships, while competing for the University of Nebraska. In the 2004 Summer Olympics, he was 14th in the 800 meters. Latvian record holder in 800m distance with a result 1:43.67. Did it in year 2006.

After Milkevics found out that, due to lack of funds, Latvian Athletics Union wasn't able to pay for Latvian delegation's start at the 2010 European Athletics Championships, he decided not to compete.
