Do It for Love[1] is the fourth studio album by English recording artist Alesha Dixon. It was released on 9 October 2015 in the United Kingdom by Precious Stone Records. The album's lead single, "The Way We Are" which was co-written by Dixon with Alex James and Harry Sommerdahl[2] and was released digitally on 21 June 2015.[3][4] The album's second single, 'Tallest Girl' was released on 18 September 2015. Dixon released a remixed version of 'People Need Love' as a charity single on 11 December 2015.[5][6]

Background

In January 2012, Dixon released "Do It Our Way (Play)" to complement advertising by weight loss company Weight Watchers. The same year it was confirmed that Dixon would be a judge on Britain's Got Talent.

In December 2014 she announced that she would be releasing a new single in either March or May 2015.[7] An album release is expected to follow, which will be her first in five years. In January 2015 she returned for the ninth series of Britain's Got Talent. In March, Dixon confirmed she would be releasing her new single "The Way We Are", via her own record label Precious Stone Records, on 21 June.[8][9] The music video premiered in full on Vevo on 19 May.[10] The video was filmed on Paphos, Cyprus and fans were given the opportunity to choose the video's ending from three options.[10] The first live performance will take place on the Britain's Got Talent live shows in May. It will be her first single release in over four years, following 2011's "Every Little Part of Me".

Dixon premièred album track "Azura" during Graham Norton's BBC Radio 2 show. She also explained that the song "Do It for Love" was the first song she had written for the album and was a song about her love for music.
