Dubai American Academy (DAA) is a Pre K-12 school in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is a private institution run by GEMS Education, a UAE-based company, representing over 82 different nationalities.

Curriculum
The school provides education from PK to Grade 12, offering the American curriculum along with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Faculty & staff
The school employs 179 teachers and 57 teaching assistants, with staff employed at recruitment fairs in the UK, US and Thailand. The student:teacher ratio is 2:1 in classroom grades KG1-5, and 22:1 in the classroom grades 6-12. All teachers are degree educated, and a majority hold Masters degrees or above.
Students
The total student body has over 2,200 students enrolled. In total 99 nationalities are represented within the student body, with the biggest numbers coming from the US (22.07%), Canada (9.49%), India (6.84%), S. Korea (5.96%) and Egypt (4.09%). There is a 50:50 male to female ratio.
Campus & facilities
The academy houses a wide range of facilities on its twenty three acres: computer labs, a weight room, science labs, drama and music rooms, art studios, and two library media centers. It also has two swimming pools, a football pitch, tennis courts, and large gyms.
Activities
Students at DAA can participate in a variety of sports and non-athletic activities. It is a founding member of the Middle East South Asia Conference (MESAC). It used to be a member of the Eastern Mediterranean Activities Conference (EMAC), but left that conference in 2010 to co-start MESAC.
