- Dumuzid the Shepherd, an antediluvian king according to Sumerian mythology;
- Dumuzid, the Fisherman, a king of the 1st Dynasty of Uruk named on the Sumerian king list;
- Tammuz (deity), a Babylonian deity derived from one or both of the above.
