The East Tennessee State University Department of Public Safety is the law enforcement agency of East Tennessee State University,in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Department Organization
The ETSU Public Safety Department is headed by a Director, who is assisted by an Assistant Director and a Lieutenant. There are seventeen Sergeants, Corporals, and Public Safety Officers assigned to the department, along with six dispatchers and an administrative aid.
All ETSU Public Safety Officers are certified firefighters and have first responder training, allowing them to perform a wide variety of tasks in addition to traditional law enforcement functions.
