The Embassy of Ireland in Washington, D.C. is the diplomatic mission of Ireland to the United States. It is located at 2234 Massachusetts Avenue, Northwest, Washington, D.C., at Sheridan Circle, in the Embassy Row neighborhood.[1]

The embassy also operates Consulates-General in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York City, and San Francisco.[2]

The Ambassador is Anne Anderson.[3]

Building

The architect was William Penn Cresson. William P. Kellogg was an early owner. Kellogg was Republican governor of Louisiana, was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 1882, served one term, and continued to live in Washington.

The property was purchased by Ireland in 1949.[4]
