The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in the Kingdom of Swaziland (Chinese: 中華民國駐史瓦濟蘭王國大使館; pinyin: Zhōnghuá Mínguó Zhù Shǐwǎjìlán Wángguó Dàshǐguǎn) is the embassy of the Republic of China in Mbabane, Swaziland. The two countries have had diplomatic relations since Swaziland's independence in 1968.[2]
Swaziland is one of twenty-two countries that recognise Republic of China as the sole legitimate government of China.[3] It is the only country in Southern Africa which does not have diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China.[4]
Until 2014, it was one of only four diplomatic missions in the country, along with the United States Embassy and the South African and Mozambique High Commissions.[5] However, Qatar has also established an Embassy in Mbabane.[6]
The Embassy also has responsibility for Mozambique.[7] However, it is not accredited to Maputo, as Mozambique has maintained diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China since its independence from Portugal in 1975.[4]
Its counterpart body in Taiwan is the Embassy of the Kingdom of Swaziland in R.O.C (Taiwan) in Taipei.[8]
