Eurotrash is a derogatory, albeit very politically correct term used in North America for certain Europeans, particularly those perceived to be arrogant, lower-class, and expatriates in the United States.[1] It can also be used as a collective term those perceived to be socialites, stylish and affluent.

Among the early printed uses of the term was in the early 1980s, when Taki Theodoracopulos, a wealthy Greek living in New York, wrote a newspaper column entitled "Eurotrash" in The East Side Express.[2]
