History

FK Bregalnica is a football club based in Shtip, Republic of Macedonia. They were formed in 1921 and currently play in the Macedonian First League.Bregalnica has always been among the best clubs, and has always been a good representative of Macedonian football. FK Bregalnica for citizens is not just a football club its something more through decades of its existence are quite intertwined life stories.The club is a symbol of Shtip and part of his life and soul have entered many citizens.Always will remain an institution that tied citizens. Their nickname is The Blues because the club colors are all blue. They play their games at Ground Bregalnica Arena Shtip with Capacity of 4,000 sits.The club's most successful years were those between 1964 and 1984 when the club was champion of Macedonia for 4 times and won the Macedonian cup in 1981.The good times did not last however,the next few years saw the decline of FK Bregalnica, distinguished by the loss of star players, like the best attacking tandem of the league and top team and league scorers from the previous seasons.Despite a wealth of home grown talent and some well known signings Bregalnica never broke into the top four and therefore failed to qualify for European competition.
