Fernando Saunders (born January 17, ) is a musician, performer, vocalist and bass player from Detroit, Michigan. He is perhaps best known for his long partnership with singer Lou Reed, intermittently from the early 1980s to at least 2008.

Biography

Fernando Saunders has performed all around the world with music legends such as Marianne Faithfull, Joan Baez, Slash, Tori Amos, Jimmy Page, John McLaughlin, Luciano Pavarotti and Jeff Beck. He is also a long-time collaborator with Lou Reed and Kip Hanrahan.[1]

Personal life

Fernando's son, András Kállay-Saunders (born January 28, 1985) represented Hungary in the 2014 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Running".
