Ferrara Bakery and Cafe was established in 1892 by Antonio Ferrara and claims to be America's first espresso bar.[1] It is located in the heart of Little Italy and offers a variety of Italian delicacies that include: cakes, cookies, pastries, desserts, and gourmet specialty items. Ferrara has remained a family owned business since its inception and is operated at its original location on Grand Street in New York City borough of Manhattan by the family's fifth generation of bakers.
