View of 7 <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Palace_Yard" class="extiw" title="w:Old Palace Yard">Old Palace Yard</a> (formerly 6–7 Old Palace Yard), London, opposite the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_Westminster" class="extiw" title="w:Palace of Westminster">Palace of Westminster</a> (Houses of Parliament). It was built as a pair of townhouses c. 1754–56, for the use of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clerk_of_the_Parliaments" class="extiw" title="w:Clerk of the Parliaments">Clerks of the Parliaments</a>. Traditionally attributed to John Vardy, the original design has been "identified with an elevation in a folio of drawings associated with <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaac_Ware" class="extiw" title="w:Isaac Ware">Isaac Ware</a> and other <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of_Works" class="extiw" title="w:Office of Works">Office of Works</a> architects".
