Summary
The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bassae_Frieze" class="extiw" title="en:Bassae Frieze">Bassae Frieze</a> is made from a set of 23 marble panels that were in the Temple of Apollo at Bassae. They were carved just before 400 B.C. The stones are on permanent display in a specially constructed room in Gallery 16 in the British Museum in London. Copies of this frieze decorated the walls of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashmolean_Museum" class="extiw" title="en:Ashmolean Museum">Ashmolean Museum</a> and London's <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travellers_Club" class="extiw" title="en:Travellers Club">Travellers Club</a>.
