European bison were hunted to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/extinction" class="extiw" title="en:extinction">extinction</a> in the wild, but have since been reintroduced from captivity into several countries. This male is <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/moulting" class="extiw" title="en:moulting">moulting</a>, his winter coat coming off in clumps. |
