Bissau Palace, Jaipur: Thakur SHYAM SINGH (1771 - 1831), was the third Thakur (leader, chief) of Bissau and ruler from 1787 to 1831. He was the most famous of all the rulers of Bissau; he brought fame and fortune to the state of Bissau and was considered amongst the best warriors of his time. He aligned with the French in his constant battles with the British and had also maintained very close ties with the Maharaja Ranjit Singh of Punjab

Bissau Palace is an elegant traditional hotel built in 1919 and recently renovated close to the walled city and overlooking the Tiger fort. It is located in a very dense part of Jaipur but is an oasis. The quality of the facilities is only 3 star.
