The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:Sacsayhuam%C3%A1n" class="extiw" title="w:en:Sacsayhuamán">fortification SACSAHUAMAN</a> (north of the town) represents the head of a puma lying down (El Puma Yacente); one can recognize the back, legs and tail of the animal in the patterns of the old town -- the back stretches along the mountain river, the feet rest on the shore of the river Saphi.
