Summary
Army members from the 520th Area Support Medical Company, Fort Lewis, Washington aboard a UH-60Q MEDEVAC Black Hawk helicopter, and Thailand medical personnel aboard a Royal Thai Air Force Alenia G222 (C-27A Spartan) participate in an emergency evacuation exercise at this year's COBRA GOLD '01. COBRA GOLD '01 is regularly scheduled, joint-combined exercise designed to ensure regional peace and strengthen the ability of the royal Thai Armed Forces to defend Thailand or respond to regional contingencies. This year's exercise, the 20th in the series, will focus on peace enforcement operations. Location: PHITSANULOK
