A U.S. Air Force North American F-86F-30-NA Sabre (s/n 52-4584) in 1953. This plane was flown by U.S. Marine Corps Major John H. Glenn and dubbed "MiG Mad Marine". Glenn flew this aircraft during his time as an exchange pilot with the 25th Fighter Squadron, 51st Fighter Wing, in Korea in mid 1953. He shot down three MiG-15 aircraft. John Glenn later became an astronaut and U.S. senator.
