Summary
Three Vought F-8 Crusaders assigned to Carrier Air Group Eight (CVG-8) fly over the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal (CVA-59), circa August 1962. The aircraft depicted are (from fore to back): a RF-8A (BuNo 146895) of reconnaissance squadron VFP-62 Fighting Photos, and two F-8C fighters (BuNos 146932 and 145592) of fighter squadron VF-103 Sluggers. The F-8Cs are armed with AIM-9B Sidewinder missiles.
