Summary
Insignia for the US Navy squadron VF-31 the fighting "Tomcatters". The second oldest Navy fighter squadron, tracing their history back to VF-1B Shooting Stars in July of 1935.
The Tomcatters incorporated the character of <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Felix_the_Cat" class="mw-redirect" title="Felix the Cat">Felix the Cat</a> in their insignia.
