Today, the highest ranking US military officer, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Navy Admiral Mike Mullen, visited, alongside with the IDF Chief of Staff , Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz, the Shrine of the Book in Jerusalem, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The two generals are seen here examining the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest known copies of biblical and other ancient holy manuscripts. The discovery of the Scrolls, beginning in 1947, is considered to be one of the most important archeological finds in history.
