The first <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Army" class="extiw" title="w:United States Army">United States Army</a> on the northern banks of the Ohio, the fort's site was rediscovered by archaeologists in the twentieth century and converted into a park. Lines of stones, such as the one in the middle of the foreground, are parts of the original foundation. Under the name of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_McIntosh_Site" class="extiw" title="w:Fort McIntosh Site">Fort McIntosh Site</a>, the park is listed on the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Register_of_Historic_Places" class="extiw" title="w:National Register of Historic Places">National Register of Historic Places</a>. It is also a part of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaver_Historic_District" class="extiw" title="w:Beaver Historic District">Beaver Historic District</a>, which is also listed on the Register.
