The <a href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musikinstrumenten-Museum_Berlin" class="extiw" title="de:Musikinstrumenten-Museum Berlin">Museum of Musical Instruments (Berlin)</a> is installed since 1984 in buildings in direct communication with those of the Berlin Philharmonic. The architects of the museum building are: Hans Scharoun and Edgar Wisniewski. The history of the museum begins with the creation in 1888 by the Prussian state of "collection of antique musical instruments. Among the directors who succeeded at the head of the institutions prior to the current museum, Curt Sachs is considered one of the largest with the publication of the first catalog of the collection (3200 pieces). After war, Alfred Brener has managed to raise the funds completely decimated during the hostilities.

Today, in the new museum, all collections were pooled. A concert hall with 200 seats is integrated into showrooms.
