Summary

Hawarden Bridge station, 1999.
View NE, towards Bidston ahead, Chester (formerly) to right: ex-GCR (Wrexham, Mold & Connah's Quay section), Wrexham (Central) - Bidston and Seacombe/Chester (Northgate, also by-passing the latter to Mouldsworth). Now called the Borderlands Line, the service runs from Wrexham (a new Central station) to Bidston; Bidston - Seacombe was closed 4/1/60 and the Chester line from 9/9/68. This station has since been renovated, cf. SJ3169 : Hawarden Bridge Station. Off to the left is/was the large John Summers Steelworks.
