Summary
The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/heliospheric_current_sheet" class="extiw" title="en:heliospheric current sheet">heliospheric current sheet</a> results from the influence of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun" class="extiw" title="en:Sun">Sun</a>'s rotating magnetic field on the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plasma_(physics)" class="extiw" title="en:Plasma (physics)">plasma</a> in the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/interplanetary_medium" class="extiw" title="en:interplanetary medium">interplanetary medium</a> (solar wind). The wavy <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parker_spiral" class="extiw" title="en:Parker spiral">spiral</a> shape has been likened to a ballerina's skirt.
