Summary
Joseph Pomiankowsi had a keen insight into the functioning of the Ottoman government and was familiar with the decisions and activities of the Young Turk party. In his memoirs Pomiankowski wrote, "I had ample opportunity to get to know the land and the people of Turkey. During the war, however, I was from start to finish eyewitness of practically all the decisions and activities of the Turkish government." In 1909, Pomiankowski stated that the Young Turk government planned to "exterminate" <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/non-Muslim" class="extiw" title="en:non-Muslim">non-Muslim</a> conquered peoples.
